Dennis J. Allen was born on September 22, 1972, in the United States. He is the defensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League in the United States (NFL).
He formerly led the Oakland Raiders as their head coach from 2012 to 2014. Allen has also worked as an assistant coach for the Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, University of Tulsa, and Texas A&M University.
